[OSA] On the weekend of 5-6 February, the first national assembly of the La Lupa Movement, launched before Christmas on the avalanche of occupations of Roman schools, was held in Rome. It was a two-day event the likes of which had not been seen for a long time, with hundreds of students from all over Italy representing dozens and dozens of school collectives across the country.
[Cambiare Rotta] Capitalist environmentalism is a perfect example of the use of this metaphor precisely because it is a model of production that in no way addresses the issue of reproduction/safeguarding nature and its resources. The fact that it is an oxymoron can be understood philosophically from the fact that the infinite growth to which the capitalist production model structurally tends inevitably clashes with the physically finite system of our world.

El hecho de que sea un oxímoron puede entenderse filosóficamente a partir del hecho de que el crecimiento infinito al que tiende estructuralmente el modelo de producción capitalista choca inevitablemente con el sistema físicamente finito de nuestro mundo.
[Cambiare Rotta] L’environnementalisme capitaliste est un parfait exemple de l’utilisation de cette métaphore, précisément parce qu’il s’agit d’un modèle de production qui n’aborde en aucune façon la question de la reproduction/sauvegarde de la nature et de ses ressources. Le fait qu’il s’agisse d’un oxymore peut être compris philosophiquement à partir du fait que la croissance infinie à laquelle tend structurellement le modèle de production capitaliste se heurte inévitablement au système physiquement fini de notre monde.
